Allen D. Ferry

Chaplain (Colonel) Allen D. Ferry is the former New York Joint Forces National Guard Command Chaplain and supervised all chaplains, chaplain candidates, and chaplain assistants of the Air and Army National Guard.

Allen deployed to Bosnia/Herzegovina in 1998-1999 and Iraq in 2003 and 2005. He also served as the Task Force Chaplain for Operation Rainbow Hope-WTC in 2001.

As a civilian, Allen was the Protestant Chaplain at Auburn Correctional Facility of the New York Department of Correctional Services (1999-2012). He was Senior Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Pulaski (NY) from 1988 to 1998. In 2007, he authored “A Man and His Country” one of the Regular Baptist Press Men’s Series.

Allen is a graduate of Cornerstone University, Grand Rapids Baptist Theological Seminary, Dallas Theological Seminary, and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (D.Min.).

Allen and Theresa have been married since 1968. They have two children: Mark is Senior Pastor of West Genesee Hills Baptist Church in Camillus, NY; Julaine is an interpreter for the deaf. Allen and Theresa have three fantastic grandsons: Corban, Christian, and Enoch.

In 2014, Allen came out of retirement to establish and direct the new Mount Olive Bible College inside Mount Olive Correctional Complex in West Virginia.

Allen is tall, has most of his hair and a great sense of humor!
