I am a trauma therapist in New York City, and I also specialize in creativity enhancement for artists and performers (professional and non-). In my office, while using a "bilateral" music soundtrack adapted from a highly effective trauma therapy called EMDR, I observed my clients making astonishing self-discoveries and being often stunningly transformed.

I developed a burning desire to create a book that would give the general public access to those possibilties, and assist readers in expanding their self-awareness and creative powers. But I didn't want to make it a regular book where you read ABOUT something. I wanted my readers to have an actual experience! Sooo....by incorporating the soundtrack with the book (and the book is full of images and photographs instead of a lot of words), readers can have the experience of discovering new things about themselves, resolving internal blocks quickly, and moving into a state of greater possibility--and therefore freedom--just like they do in my office.

I worked on the book by myself for several years, and then a fateful event led to a meeting with my co-author, Christopher Lee Nutter, and an effortless collaboration was born. Together we created a book that allows the reader to travel through time and space without having to move an inch. With the additional contributions of artwork from artists from all over the world, Ignite the Genius Within became a whole new kind of book altogether.
