Glen Scott Allen is a fiction writer, scholar, and teacher. After obtaining his PhD in English from the University of Utah, he served as Writer-in-Residence at Reed College in Portland, Oregon, and Professor of English and Cultural Studies at Towson University in Baltimore, Maryland. He is the author of Master Mechanics & Wicked Wizards: Images of the American Scientist as Hero and Villain from Colonial Times to the Present (published by the University of Massachusetts press in July, 2009), and The Shadow War, a novel (to be published by St. Martin's press in fall of 2010).
