I’m insatiably curious and I write to learn. This has led me to explore some very strange realms...rat infestations and the incredible importance of body hair...as well as the true meaning of success and failure, and a myriad of other topics. Of course, I've learned a lot about myself on these adventures, as well as continuing to be enthralled with the wonders of the world around me.

Funny, I can say the same about my two PhDs, one in evolutionary biology from Oxford, and one in creativity, from Queen's. If I could live another 40 years, I'd do another doctorate - in archaeology. For now, I'll stick to writing books and online courses, attempting to share my enthusiasm for all things related to the quirks of human nature.

My latest work is "Anxious and Hairy," a quirky and revealing exploration of the tangled science, history, and culture of human hair.
