Carl wrote 12 Steps to a New Career specifically for individuals in mid-career based on his first-hand knowledge of the difficulties encountered by individuals when making a career change at a senior level. As a founder and Managing Director of an international executive search practice, he worked with their executive recruiters as they searched for and interviewed candidates. When they presented their shortlists to clients, he participated in many employer interviews of candidates and the decisions they made about who to employ.
Realizing what worked best for individuals in mid-career, he used his personal experiences to write 12 Steps to a New Career. His book encompasses the entire career change process for people in mid-career and includes worksheets, exercises, insider tips, and real-life stories. You can download all the user-friendly exercises and worksheets at no cost at his website, www.execglobalnet.com.
Carl started his career as a CPA at an international public accounting firm in Los Angeles. After fifteen years, including five years as country managing partner for the firm's Saudi Arabian practice, he left public accounting and, with a colleague, formed an executive search firm in the UK to focus on finding leaders and managers in mid-career for international clients.
Upon returning to the US, he formed www.execglobalnet.com to specialize in working with executives and managers seeking career transitions. His book, 12 Steps to a New Career, describes the career change process as it relates specifically to people in mid-career.
Carl is a Board Certified Coach (BCC), a Job and Career Transition Coach (JCTC), and is still a CPA (although not practicing as such). To read Carl's blog, go to www.execglobalnet.com.
