Barry John Carter

During summers after high school through college, Barry worked at Oklahoma's Arrowhead Lodge, on oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico and for Catlin Aviation at Oklahoma City's Will Rogers International Airport. One summer, a tropical storm passed directly over the oil rig where he worked. Too late to evacuate, the crew and he experienced firsthand the storm's fury as it buffeted and shook the oil platform like a toy. This event provided compelling motivation for hm to finish his education and to work on land.

Barry graduated from Oklahoma University, and earned a Masters Degree from Depaul University. His career spanned over thirty years in Telecommunications and he taught a global marketing course for a short time at DePaul. Currently, his incredible wife and he live in Florida where he plays golf badly and kayaks.
