Lynn Parr is the author of a wide range of books: from nature writing (Still Waters: Fragments of Nature & Place; Chasing the Light: More Fragments of Nature & Place; The History and Ecology of Hainault Forest); to history and non-fiction (Cowgirl: A Home on the Wyoming Range; Champions of the Horse; County Curiosities of England); to children's adventures (Dangerous Secrets!).
Dr Parr is a former ecologist and environmental writer for conservation organizations, newspapers, magazines and websites. She has edited magazines and newspapers in the UK and USA – including Artists & Illustrators, Horse, This England, Evergreen and The Curlew – and books for Dorling Kindersley and Earthscan. Her books, short stories, articles, poetry, and photographs have been published worldwide.
She is also an artist and editor of the literary nature-writing quarterly The Curlew. Lynn has a PhD in Ecology and an MA in Writing Nature & Place. She lives near Dingle in County Kerry, Ireland.
