Marie Bartlett Maher

Born in Melbourne, Australia Marie Bartlett spent most of her youth and adult life throughout Virginia and North Carolina where her American father traveled for work. A member of the American Society of Journalists & Authors (ASJA) and Western Writers of America, she began her writing career in newspapers, trade journals, and national magazines. Today, she is the author of four nonfiction books, including "Trooper Down: Life & Death on the Highway Patrol," published by Algonquin Books of Chapel, Hill, three ghost-written nonfiction books, and two historical novels.
