Someone once said 'Life is like a jigsaw puzzle. If you don't know where you fit, just pick up the pieces and try again!'
Who made this remark? I did! In 1991 when I moved abroad after a demanding management career at BT in the UK.
Which leads me to explain that now, after working 30 years as trainer, mentor, & examiner for Business English clients, the success I have been rewarded with over the years, has provided me with wide knowledge, new passions & proud achievements.
My time at a German university was terrific. My tasks as Director of Studies were awesome. And my friendship with key clients
excite me when I see them deliver successful presentations at work, win job interviews & can negotiate million dollar deals on the telephone!
My past was supported with a great childhood, wonderful parents & good friends who helped me along the adult trail.
Before I left the UK, I had managed to win 3 karate belts, photographed the famous, was trained in ballet and adorned the London stage with shows where choreography lessons proved somewhat challenging.
I also managed to win a fencing competition & also entered a horse jumping event in Oxford where I lived, just after I had bought her in a bad state.
I have also travelled to unusual destinations while a dream to stand next to Ernest Hemmingway in Havana came true for me in 2007.
But writing however was my true objective with a burning ambition to relate parts of my life, both business & private, into publication. This never happened, until now.
I have 3 passions in life. These are to travel, when still possible, to write & to live the last few years through the pandemic with the love of my life, my memories & some wonderful friends.
The future is often confusing & challenging but the present always opens a new page before the final chapter!
