A native Georgian, Kristina Simms (known to her friends as Tina) is a retired educator and social service worker. She has published numerous articles and poems. She is a graduate of Mercer University, holds a master's degree in English from Stephen F. Austin State University, and has done doctoral work at Georgia State University. Among her many interests are politics, photography, birding, ecology, travel, and mental health advocacy. Her books include A Year At the Lake, The Stradivarius in the Basement, A Second Spring (poetry), and Macon, Georgia's Central City, an Illustrated History. She is listed as a poet in A National Directory of Poets and Writers (maintained by Poets & Writers magazine, New York). Just out!
