Gil Elliot was born in 1931 to Scottish parents in Kilmacolm. He was a student at Sussex University when his first book Twentieth Century Book of the Dead was commissioned.
The next period, which produced a novel, Lucifer, was dominated by his efforts to save his girlfriend. Following it, he was unable to write, meanwhile his Book of the Dead, a study of global violence, acquired a cult reputation.
After many years he met someone who encouraged him to write again. The result was two books, one a study of great writers, Shock of Mortality, the second a novel exploring the impact of a father and a charismatic girlfriend, Madness of Lovers. These two are published on Kindle Amazon.
He continues to write, the latest being an Old Man's Tale and other stories.
