Hi, I'm John Locatelli and I was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. I graduated from the University of Washington in 1967 with a degree in Atmospheric Sciences. After two years of post graduate work I began working as a Research Scientist in the Atmospheric Sciences Cloud and Aerosol Research Group. This became my lifelong profession. I finished my scientific career studying the properties of falling snow crystals with the goal of improving snow depth and avalanche forecasts.
It was on the way to the University that I had an idea for the ideal murder. I was frustrated with traditional murder mysteries that were either too easy or impossible to solve. When I found himself with time on my hands during a scientific field project in Canada, I started to write my own murder mystery that eventually was titled "Lucid Dreams". "Lucid Dreams, the Uncensored Edition" is an updated version exclusively for the Kindle Store.
My life has not been all science. I'm the married father of four children, and I've found time to self build three of the four houses my family has lived in, including the present log house situated on Pipe Lake in Western Washington. I also restore classic cars.
While I was building the house on the lake, I came up with the idea of writing a book about the division of Washington State between the Republicans and Democrats. Washington State was ideal for this purpose since it is naturally divided by the Cascade Mountains into the Western, more urban side and the Eastern more rural side and----
JUST A MINUTE NOW!!!! HOLD EVERYTHING!!!
This has gone too far. John Locatelli thinks he wrote "Thank God Those Idiots Are on the Other Side of the Mountains", but he's plain wrong. My name is D. W. Franklin, but my friends all call me Frank and if we ever meet in person you can call me Frank. The plain truth is that I wrote the book from my tragic personal experiences in both the Republican and Democratic side of the mountains. The mountains, if I haven't already told you, are the Cascades of Washington State. We used to live on the Eastside, but now I live with my wife Alice and little poodle dog Moses on Lake Lucerne in Western Washington. I'm no darn pin-headed scientist. I earn an honest living as a house painter and if I ever meet this Locatelli character I'll sure give him a piece of my mind.
That no good book-stealing rat is on the left in the photos. I'm on the right.

Don't read John Locatelli's stupid book, but read mine. Everyone could use a few laughs.
