David H. Ackley

Dave Ackley does research, development, and advocacy of robust-first and best-effort computing on indefinitely scalable computer architectures. He is an emeritus professor of Computer Science at the University of New Mexico, and the founder and president of the Living Computation Foundation.

With academic degrees from Tufts and Carnegie Mellon, his primary research and development work has involved neural networks and machine learning, evolutionary algorithms and artificial life, and biological approaches to security, architecture, and models of computation.

He is also the co-host, with Michael Littman, of the "Computing Up" podcast, and his DaveAckley channel on YouTube has gradually accumulated hundreds of thousands of views.
