Kay Murdy

Kay Murdy has a Masters Degree in Religious Studies from Mount Saint Mary's University. She is a Master Catechist for the Los Angeles Archdiocese. Kay is the co-founder of the Catholic Bible Institute in Los Angeles, a three year program to train people to facilitate bible studies in their parishes. She gives talks on Scripture and Liturgy in parishes, and at retreats. Kay leads a weekly bible study on the readings of the Lectionary in her parish, St. John Vianney, Hacienda Hts., CA.

Kay has enjoyed writing since she was a child. Her mother told her that she never saw her without a pencil in her hand. Kay's seven published books include: 90 Days, Daily Reflections on the Gospel for Lent and Easter; Daybreaks, Daily Reflections for Lent and Easter; A Closer Walk With Jesus, Reading and Praying the Gospels for Lent; Season of Emmanuel, Daily Reflections for Advent and Christmas; What Every Catholic Needs to Know About the Bible, a basic introduction on Scripture for Catholics; From Pharaoh to the Father, a Journey toward Freedom, reading the Lord's Prayer through the Exodus; Song of the Dove, a historical novel on Mary of Nazareth (Award Winner in the 2014 CPA Novel Awards).
