Sheldon R. Shacket was born in Chicago, Illinois in April of 1941. He worked in the advertising field for over 50 years with 25 years of seniority as a creative director of BBDO Chicago Advertising. He recently retired after 23 years of being the president of Shacket Advertising, Inc. to continue his book writing career. He wrote "The Complete Book of Electric Vehicles" in the late 70's which is still sold in the aftermarket. He has 26 books on Amazon.com which include: "Marissa and the Magic Dolls," and "Always Follow a Dirty" car released exclusively on Kindle. "The Profit by Kehlog Albran," co-authored by Martin A. Cohen (who passed away in 2000) was written over 40 years ago. Shacket has currently added to his list of Kindle publications: "The Return of The Profit," an updated version of the original, and "April's Fool," a light comedy about a professional in her 30's who has to start over due to the economy, with humorous results, and an offbeat comedy, "The Man Who Futzed with the Braintrust of the Universe." Other previously unpublished works released on Kindle are: "Gambler's Eden" (co-authored with Sander Marcus). The three-book adult-oriented series centered around the main character, Elizabeth Harvington, includes: "The Two Lives of Elizabeth Harvington," "Anokil," and "The Genie Wars."
