Kenneth Guentert

Until 2002, Kenneth Guentert spent almost his entire career in Catholic publishing. After graduating from the University of Notre Dame, he took a job as a writer for The New World, the official newspaper of the Archdiocese of Chicago. After a brief stint as a Chicago cab driver, he became an editor for U.S. Catholic magazine and then opinion editor for the National Catholic Reporter. Later he joined the staff of Resource Publications, Inc., where he edited Modern Liturgy magazine and served at various times as editorial director, production manager, and marketing director. After ten years of personal study, he left the Catholic church in 1992 and began attending services at a nearby Orthodox synagogue. He is committed to observing Torah as a Non-Jew but has remained married to his Catholic wife. They live in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where he runs a business--The Publishing Pro, LLC--that helps authors self-publish their books in a professional manner.
