Ray Hosler

Ray Hosler is best known for the "Bay Area Bike Rides" tour guide, in publication since 1990 by Chronicle Books. Beginning with daily newspapers in Wyoming and Colorado, he branched out to Runner's World magazine in Mountain View, California, followed by a weekly bicycle column in the San Francisco Chronicle for three years in the 1980s. He has chronicled his many bike rides in two paperback books. His other literary efforts include a novel about a San Francisco bike race in 1889, a children's book, a novel about self-driving cars, and a trilogy about a Chinese family living in 19th Century America.
