Dale Eisler has been a writer most of his life. Anton, a young boy, his friend and the Russian Revolution, is an historical fiction account of a true story. It has received critical acclaim in the U.S. and Canada, shortlisted for the Santa Fe Writers Project Literary Award, the USA Book News Best Book of the Year Award and the New England Book Festival. It is Eisler's third book and first novel.
Currently Canada's Consul General in Denver, CO., Eisler spent 24 years as a journalist before joining the Government of Canada in 1998 as an assistant deputy minister in the Department of Finance in Ottawa, Canada. Six years later he was appointed assistant secretary to cabinet for communications in the Privy Council Office, the most senior communications position in the Canadian government.
