D. C. Churbuck

D.C. Churbuck is a Cape Cod author who rowed competitively at The Brooks School and on the Yale Heavyweight Crew in the 1970s. He is still an active masters rower and sculler on the bays near his home, and as a member of the Union Boat Club of Boston, Massachusetts.

He co-authored the privately published History of the Union Boat Club, and writes prolifically on maritime and rowing topics

He wrote The Book of Rowing for Overlook Press in the mid-1980s. The pen-and-ink illustrations are by his wife, Daphne Fullerton Churbuck.

His latest book, THE LOST WHALERS, will be published in the fall of 2027 by Pegasus Books
