Harry W. Gilmer

Harry Wesley Gilmer is a retired educator who served as chaplain to Methodist military students at North Georgia College, was Bradley Professor of Religion at Wesleyan College, Dean of Faculty at Millsaps College, and President of Lambuth College. His last twelve years of professional service were as Director and General Editor of Scholars Press, a large consortium of universities and learned societies. He was elected to positions of leadership in several higher education organizations. He led in the application of digital technology to academic publishing and conceived and built the Luce Center on the Emory University campus. He later was interim General Manager of Big Canoe, Georgia. He is a co-founder of the Mountain Top Lecture Series of North Georgia. He resides in Madison, MS.
