Bruce McArthur

Bruce McArthur spent many years in the in-depth study of the Universal Laws. It is through the Universal Laws, often called spiritual laws, that we create our life experiences. He first discovered a description of these laws in the Edgar Cayce Readings. Edgar Cayce, America’s best-known psychic and mystic, gave thousands of trance readings to people who came to him for help in understanding and meeting the challenges in their lives. These transcribed sessions often spoke of how a person’s situation and solution were the result of the operation of Universal Laws.

Bruce did extensive research into those laws, what they were and how they operated. His research, to which his wife Charlotte was a major contributor, included an exhaustive review of the references and descriptions in the Cayce readings as well as a thorough examination of spiritual and religious literature on the subject. His first book, “Your Life, Why It Is The Way It Is and What You Can Do About It” is a an overview of the operation of these laws in one’s life and how to work with them to unfold one’s full potential. It is a master work on spiritual growth. “Your Life, Why It Is The Way It Is and What You Can Do About It” was a best seller for A.R.E. press for many years.

His second book, “The Intelligent Heart”, written with his son David McArthur, focuses on the transformative aspect of these laws. “The Intelligent Heart” includes work from both Bruce and David’s experiences with the HeartMath Institute. Bruce had a close connection with Doc Childre, HeartMath’s founder, and greatly appreciated the application of Childre’s knowledge of the heart as a highly effective application of the Universal Laws of Transformation. Bruce passed away several years before A.R.E. press published The Intelligent Heart in which David McArthur included much of what his father had written as they had prepared for the book.

Bruce’s interest in the Universal Laws came from his background as a professional engineer. His professional work included being a founding member of Ajax Magnathermic, its VP for Engineering and an honorary Doctorate in Engineering from the University of North Dakota. Early in Bruce’s life he met challenges that people with psychic gifts were able to give him valuable assistance in solving. This intrigued his engineering mind and he pursued his research into the Universal Laws as a result.

Bruce and Charlotte’s interest in the question of the underlying dynamic through which we create and transform our lives has continued in their family. David has continued that work in his book, “Your Spiritual Heart”.
