Clark Peddicord

Clark Peddicord was born to an Air Force family and spent a significant part of his childhood in Scotland. He has spent over 40 years living and teaching in Europe.

With degrees in Biology, Theology and Philosophy of Science, Clark Peddicord seemed “predestined” to explore issues in the borderlands between science and religion. He is on the philosophy faculty of Boise State University, but his research and teaching have taken place primarily in Germany, where he currently directs a multi-generational living and learning community in Berlin. (He is the founding President of “Philosophia International”.) His main philosophical interests include: Philosophy of Science, Philosophy of Religion, Kant and German Idealism, and Medieval Philosophy.

His doctoral investigation (originally in German) on Immanuel Kant’s critique of miracles was written under the mentorship of the late Philosopher of Science, Professor Dr. Bernulf Kanitscheider, one of the leading European authorities on physical cosmology, the evolution of the solar system, and the intersection of physics and philosophy. The doctoral research was awarded the Dr. phil. magna cum laude in the “Center for Philosophy and the Foundations of Science” at the Justus Liebig University in Giessen, Germany.

Clark is, after over 50 years, still enthusiastically married to the educator, Ann Winslow Peddicord. They have two adult daughters and two grandchildren.
