David M. Thompson

David M. Thompson was born in Detroit, Michigan, and holds a Ph. D. in Music Theory/Composition from Kent State University in Ohio. He is the author of magazine and journal articles, and of one book on music theory history. Until his retirement, he was a member of the faculty of the Music Department at Marian University in Wisconsin, where he taught music theory, history, piano, and music administration courses, as well as chairing the department. He now lives in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin with his wife and two cats.
