Milan G. Vesely

Born in Mombasa, Kenya of Czechoslovakian refugee parents life has been anything but boring. Jungle fighter, bush pilot, businessman and prisoner--I've been all. Now I've written my autobiography--Some Fear Spiders--in which I detail the good, the bad and the downright ugly. Torture does that to you, causes ghosts to chase ghosts through the caverns of one's mind. There have also been good times, of course. And now there is my yacht, the African Queen 1. As the vessel of my redemption it is a terrific counterpoint to the machete scar on my face, the one left by the first assassin that is, not the second one that tried to kill my wife.

And so we had a dog, Kandi (K with a lower i) who was our companion in healing, her curious nature, quirks, and even hangups mirroring our own. R.I.P. Kandi, you were, and still are, good for our souls, your 'Take Me Home' vibes still so very much with us!
