Elisabeth Kehoe

Thank you for coming to my Author page! It is always an huge pleasure to interact with readers. I am a researcher and writer; I teach post graduate students and I love to communicate my joy of history with everyone interested in the 19th and 20th centuries. I specialise in British, American, and Irish social history and I especially like to resurface overlooked women who changed the course of history. My biographies of the Jerome sisters (Jennie was Winston Churchill’s American mother), of Kitty O’Shea - who changed the course of Irish independence forever - and lately, Helen D’Oyly Carte, an amazing 19th CEO who ran the unbelievably successful Savoy Theatre, the Gilbert and Sullivan theatre companies and the Savoy, Claridges and other great hotels - while under the age of 30 - bring to life women who inspire and delight.
