Vicki Huffman has had a long career writing for the Christian market, which includes authoring six nonfiction books, a novel "A Secret Hope," and numerous magazine articles. Vicki's latest book, "Starring Roles: Women in Film and the Bible," draws on her more than 40 years experience teaching adults in church and independent Bible studies. Many have commented that she makes "the Bible come alive" for them.
Vicki has revised and republished her two earliest books, "The Best of Times" and "Plus Living." All seven of her books are available in print and e-book: a novel, "A Secret Hope"; "Still Looking: Finding the Peace of God in Job Loss"; "The Jesus Moses Knew: How to See Christ in the Old Testament"; "Soon to Come" an exposition of the book of Revelation; and "Starring Roles."
Professional Background: Vicki was the first telecommuting editor for Cook Communications (edited "Sunday Digest"); was the editor of "A Better Tomorrow" in the magazine division of Thomas Nelson Publishers; She has been a newspaper editor, a weekly columnist for 13 years, and a book editor. Her work has been reprinted into books such as: A Mother's Touch, The Busy Woman's Guide to a Balanced Life, Max Lucado's Inspirational Bible, The Chosen Path, and Chicken Soup for the Christian Family's Soul. Vicki has won two national Amy Writing Awards, a national Writers Digest contest 2nd Place, and awards for articles and personal columns. For both years she edited "A Better Tomorrow" magazine, it won the Evangelical Press Association's highest award, the Award of Excellence.
Vicki spent 30 years in Nashville but now lives in Savannah, Georgia.
