William Pryse-Phillips is an academic neurologist at Memorial University of Newfoundland, but now retired. He has published for academic books in a total of 12 editions in three languages. He is also the author of two children’s books, Free Flight, and Mr. Grumbles, the first of which was a finalist for the Newfoundland children’s book awards when first published 10 years ago. He is currently working on a new book, a miscellaneous collection of essays and quotations to be dipped into rather than read through as a kind of bedside companion.
