Stan Turkel

Stan Turkel has spent more than 45 years as a working authority in industrial electrical systems, motor controls, variable frequency drives, programmable logic controllers, factory automation, and the sensor and process control technologies that keep modern manufacturing running. Fortune 500 companies across the country have sought out his depth of knowledge to solve the kinds of problems that don't have easy answers in a manual.

His books distill that experience into clear, plain-language references for the people who actually do the work — the technicians, electricians, and engineers responsible for keeping complex equipment running and getting it back online when it isn't. Stan writes the way he thinks: visually, practically, and without unnecessary jargon.

Beyond his technical work, he is a curious traveler, professional photographer, and educator.
