Scott R. Pancoast

Scott R. Pancoast is Founder + CEO of Zylo Therapeutics, a startup with an innovative topical delivery system, and served as a board member of DermTech, Inc. [Nasdaq:DMTK] from 2012 until 2021.

From 2005 to 2014, he was President & CEO of publicly-traded Lpath, Inc. and from 1994 to 2004, he was managing partner of Western States Investment Group, a private San Diego venture capital fund with about $100 million under management. During that time, he was CEO or interim CEO for six start-up companies and served on the board of directors for over 14 companies, including two public ones.

Prior to joining WSIC, he started and ran the Midwest division of a $300 million (in revenues) publicly traded chemical manufacturer/distributor, where he was also a board member. He also served as the Chairman of the San Diego Venture Group during the late 1990s and Chairman of the American Heart Association annual fundraiser during the early 2000s.

Mr. Pancoast earned a bachelors degree in economics (summa cum laude) from the University of Virginia and an MBA (with honors) from the Harvard Business School.
