About the Author: Author and musician Mifflin Lowe has had 13 books published selling over 300,000 copies in 7 languages. His most recent book is ART. AN INTERACTIVE GUIDE won the Jean E. Lowrie Gold Medal for best book for older children and has been selected by the Getty Museum, Princeton, Harvard, University of Virginia, and Sarasota Art museums and many others for their bookstores. FORGOTTEN FOUNDERS, Black Patriots, Women Soldiers and Other Thinkers and Heroes Who Shaped Early America was a 2025 DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) Excellence in American History Children's book award winner, a Junior Library Guild 2022 Gold selection and was selected in 2023 by McGraw Hill for its literacy program. THE TRUE WEST was a 2021 Notable Social Studies Trade Book from the Children's Book Council and National Council for the Social Studies DAD. THE MAN. THE MYTH.
