Patrick E. Andrews

I am a professional writer with more than fifty novels published in the men's adventure, military adventure, western and historical genres. After almost thirty years of having novels published in the conventional way, i.e. agents and conventional book publishers, I've made the leap to cutting edge electronic publishing to pursue direct contact with my readers.

I actually don't have a hometown since I was an "army brat" during my boyhood. My dad was stationed at Fort Sill, Oklahoma; Fort Huachuca, Arizona; Fort Bragg, North Carolina and other military posts. When I enlisted in the army at age nineteen, I served as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division in the active army and the 12th Special Forces Group "Green Berets" in the Army Reserves. I left military service after receiving a physical disability separation following an injury in a parachute jump.

My writing career began in San Diego, California. I worked as a typesetter in the old "hot type" days of Linotypes, Ludlows and even handsetting to support myself while sending manuscripts around with fervent hopes of publication. Later I spent a few years as a technical editor and writer in aerospace before being able to turn fulltime to writing.

I currently live in Colorado on the front range of the Rocky Mountains with my wife Julie and a couple of rather laid-back cats.
