David lives on the north Oregon coast, retiring in 2025 after 41 years in full-time pastoral ministry including the past 31 years as Lead Pastor of Community Church in Cannon Beach, Oregon. He is married with three grown sons. David is a Benedictine Oblate with Mount Angel Abbey. He loves to "pay attention, be astonished, and tell others" (Mary Oliver).
