Arnold Greenberg

Arnold Greenberg was born at a very early age in Chester, PA, but grew up in Philadelphia. He wrote his first poem when he was nine years old and knew this is what he wanted to do for the rest of his life. Though he started three schools and became a baker and owner of the Left Bank Café in Blue Hill, Maine, he managed to write three books of poetry and a collection of essays on education called, "Adventures on Arnold's Island." For many years, he lived off the grid in a cabin in the Maine woods where he wrote two more books of poetry, "Sisyphus" and "Morning Songs." After moving to a tiny cabin overlooking a trout pond where he hauled in wood, water and food on an orange sled, many times through knee high snow, he wrote a collection of poems called, "Ponderings--Poems from the Pond." He also wrote "Revolution and the Journal of Joshua Johnson--A Ghost Story" and his most recent novel, Chaordia--A Novel of Transformation." Following his philosophy of living with as few regrets as possible, he promised himself when he was young that he would one day live on a tropical island. He now lives in Bocas Town, in Bocas Del Toro, a group of islands off the coast of Panama. He has a small cabin right on Saigon Bay where he lives simply and quietly and writes a new poem everyday as well many short novellas that are available on Amazon. His new website arnoldgreenberg.com lists his books and has a blog where he will post new poems and musings. Check it out and feel free to comment,
