Barbara Keevil Parker

Barbara Keevil Parker grew up in Federal Way, Washington. She always loved the out-of-doors, so its no surprise her first children's book was North American Wolves. She has lived in five states--Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Georgia, Rhode Island--but was glad to return to Washington, her home state. She began writing poetry in grade school, short stories in high school, and non-fiction as an adult. In addition to writing, she has been an educator and marriage and family therapist. She lives in Bellevue, Washington with her husband and their dog, Chocolate.
