Mary Clyde

Mary Clyde is the author of a novel, Journeys from a Desert Road, and Survival Rates, which won the Flannery O’Connor Award for Short Fiction. She has published in several journals and anthologies and has taught fiction and writing at collegiate and graduate levels.

A native of the West, she was born in Utah, the great, great, great granddaughter of Mormon pioneers. Her grandparents settled in Phoenix in 1920, and she has made it her home for more than forty years. It is where she raised the five children she is so proud of and an assortment of beloved dogs.
