Phil Graham

Phil Graham ( Born 1939 ) Educated at Michaelhouse, KwaZulu Natal. Joined the British South Africa Police in 1962. Stationed mainly in the rural areas and worked closely with African Police, one of whom was a Bushman tracker. My book "DARE TO FLEE" takes its origins from these people and their attitude towards the environment and life itself. During the Rhodesian Bush war the trackers were invaluable to the security forces, proving their bravery and loyalty. Now some 30 years later in Botswana, the Bushmen are being chased off the lands they have occupied for 30,000 years, so that the government in that country can mine diamonds in the Kalahari Game Reserve.
