Chara Haeussler Bohan

Chara Haeussler Bohan is originally from the tri-state area (grew up in New Jersey, went to high school in Connecticut and college in New York). She moved to Texas in 1993 and earned a Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin. She taught high school history, government, and geography in New York City and Austin, Texas. She is a professor at Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia where she studies the history of education as well as issues in contemporary school settings, focused on history and social science education. She is the mother of two children, Caleb and Chloe, and is married to a very supportive husband, Tom Bohan.
