John Scott Horrell

J. Scott Horrell is Senior Professor Emeritus of Theological Studies at Dallas Theological Seminary and continues as adjunct professor at DTS. Many of his ministry years have been outside the US and centered on essential doctrines of the Christian faith, especially the Trinity, Spiritual Warfare, Anthropology, also Worldviews, World Religions, and Global Christian Theology. Prior to DTS he taught in several seminaries in Brazil and was chair of Theology and Coordinator of Graduate Studies at the Baptist Theological Seminary of São Paulo. He cofounded and coedited Vox Scripturae to become the largest theological journal in Latin America. His time in Switzerland under Francis Schaeffer, and later as Visiting Scholar at Tyndale House, Cambridge, shaped much of his thinking. He has written and contributed to various books and written multiple articles in English and Portuguese.
