Tim Mayers grew up in Cliffwood Beach, New Jersey, and earned bachelor's degrees in Literature and Philosophy (University of Scranton, 1988), a Master's degree in Creative Writing (Binghamton University, 1990), and a Ph.D. in Composition and Rhetoric (University of Rhode Island, 1998). He is currently an associate professor in the English Department at Millersville University of Pennsylvania, where he teaches composition, creative writing, and literary criticism.
His novel manuscript, "Intelligence Manifesto," won the 2008 Paradigm Prize, judged by bestselling novelist Raymond Benson.
Mayers enjoys talking long walks, playing chess, and spending time with his family.
