Mark Stein is a German critic, writer and academic. He runs the National and Transnational Studies program - http://www.wwu.de/MA_transnational - at Munster University where he has been Full Professor and Chair of English Studies since 2006. He studied English Studies, American Studies and Political Sciences in Frankfurt, Oxford, and Warwick, holds an M.A. from Warwick (1994) and a PhD from Goethe University, Frankfurt/M (2000). Born in Cologne, he grew up in Cologne and Los Angeles and has lived and worked in Frankfurt, London, Saarbrücken, Berlin, Lisbon, Kingston (JA), Port of Spain (TT) and is now based in Germany.
Recently, Mark published the first Cambridge History of Black and Asian British Writing with Susheila Nasta (CUP 2020).
