My husband and I had an antiquarian bookshop in Chelsea. When he died I started writing books instead of selling them. My particular interest is in history and I have so far published three as well as a biography (of the poet Kathleen Raine) and a book about antiquarian bookselling. My next book, MITHRAS TO MORMON - A RELIGIOUS HISTORY OF LONDON, will be out in the autumn.
I also lecture on historical subjects (Elizabethan England, History of Gardening, London) to local groups, including U3A, National Trust and religious organisations.
My own interests include gardening, music (I play the piano badly), literature and the countryside.
