Michelle Marder Kamhi is an independent scholar and critic. Her latest book is 'Bucking the Artworld Tide'---which "shakes the foundation of today’s art establishment," to quote Midwest Book Review. Kirkus Reviews calls it “Solidly argued and thoughtfully presented . . . eloquent . . . thought-provoking. . . . An illuminating, strongly opinionated, and enthusiastically acerbic critique of today’s art world.”
Kamhi co-edits the online arts journal Aristos, and co-authored 'What Art Is: The Esthetic Theory of Ayn Rand'---praised by Choice magazine for its "well-documented . . . debunking of twentieth-century art . . . and art theory." Articles by her have appeared in the Wall Street Journal, Arts Education Policy Review, Art Education, and the Journal of Ayn Rand Studies, among other publications. Her blog is 'For Piero's Sake,' named in honor of the great Italian Renaissance painter Piero della Francesca.
