Robert Bernard Hass

Poet and literary critic Robert Bernard Hass grew up in Hershey Pennsylvania where he spent his childhood playing baseball and working on farms. An alumnus of the University of Florida and Penn State, he has published on a wide range of authors including Robert Frost, T.S. Eliot, Wallace Stevens, Hart Crane, Carolyn Forche, Ezra Pound, Richard Wilbur, and Alfred Lord Tennyson. His poems and articles have appeared in a number of leading journals, including Poetry, Sewanee Review, Kenyon Review, and Agni. He has won a Choice "Outstanding Academic Title" award for his study on Robert Frost and an Academy of American Poets Prize.
