Writing has been important to me all my life, but to make a living, more practical pursuits such as technology and business management have taken most of my time.

I am not a writer of long novels. Putting ideas on paper in a few words, intertwined with some very short short stories, has been my manner of expression. I have always felt that, for me, coming to the point quickly is important and gives the reader an immediate point of view, agreeable or not.

That of course doesn't mean that the art of story telling, in all its forms and volumes, isn't important and satisfying as well, albeit on a different level.

My favorite authors of novels are James Michener and John Steinbeck. Both were superb story tellers. I wish I could come even close to their talent. But I can't, so "More Snow Clinging to the Window Panes" and its earlier publication "Snow Clinging to the Window Panes" are hopefully able to draw your attention, maybe even make you smile.

"Ground X" is a story about a child in hiding during WWII in Holland, and what happens after he is transported to a concentration camp in Germany. It is a short, fictional, novel that has its roots in my own experience.
