Jeffery W. Vail

Jeffery W. Vail was born in Silver Spring, Maryland, and grew up in State College, Pennsylvania. He attended Washington College before receiving his M.A. and Ph.D. in British Literature from the University of Delaware. He is a Master Lecturer in Humanities at Boston University, where he has been teaching literature and philosophy since 2000. He has written numerous articles and book chapters on Lord Byron, the British Romantic poets, and the nineteenth-century poet and musician Thomas Moore. He has lectured in New York, Paris, Dublin, Salzburg, Belfast, London, Galway and many other cities. He lives in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts with his wife and daughter.
