Nancy C. Parrish

Nancy Parrish (1952- ) grew up in rural Virginia and attended the College of William and Mary where she earned a B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. She was named a Commonwealth Fellow of the State of Virginia for excellence in teaching. Her interest in women's history led her to write 'Lee Smith, Annie Dillard, and the Hollins Group' (Louisiana State UP). In recent years she has read about and heavily researched the great houses and great families of England. Her current book project, 'The Downton Era: Great Houses, Churchills, and Mitfords," is nearing completion.
