William Glenn Gray

Will Gray is an insatiable document hound. His greatest professional delight rests in poring through the archives from a half-dozen countries and then piecing together the results. Will’s research languages include German, French, Russian, Portuguese, and central bank jargon.

Sharing a passion for history with the students of Purdue University is another great joy. A native of Valparaiso, Indiana, Will returned to his home state in 2004 following nearly two decades of study at Princeton, Yale, and Berlin, rounded out by a post-doc at New York University and four years teaching at Texas Tech. His courses include the history of capitalism, the history of international cooperation, interwar Europe, Europe since 1945, and various German history surveys.

Will resides in Lafayette, Indiana, with his wife and son. They frequent art museums and libraries, with Germany, Brazil, and Taiwan among their favored travel destinations.
