Mott T Greene (1945- ) I'm a historian of science, living in Seattle. Most of my work is in the history of modern science, but I have also written on science in the ancient world. I'm a MacArthur Fellow (1983-1987), and from 1985-2012 taught at University of Puget Sound, a liberal arts college in Tacoma, WA. In retirement I am Affiliate Professor of Earth and Space Sciences at the University of Washington, Seattle. I am also working as a dramaturge at ACT Theatre in Seattle on a stage production of the Japanese epic Heike Monogatari, scheduled for 2017 (an artifact of an earlier and brief career in Japanese language and literature).
