Richard Pearson

Richard Pearson is Professor of Victorian Literature and lectures at the National University of Ireland, Galway. For many (many) years he lectured at the University of Worcester and was Head of Arts and Humanities there until 2008. He is the Director of an internationally-renowned electronic archive of Victorian Plays, at http://victorian.worc.ac.uk, based on the Lacy's Acting Edition of Victorian Plays and consisting of over 300 open-access play texts.

He is currently working on a book on the attempts of major Victorian authors to write plays for stage production.
