Stephen B. Sloane

Stephen B. Sloane is a professor of Political Science and Public Administration at Saint Mary’s College of California.

He has published Organizations in the Movies: The Legend of the Dysfunctional System and Gold Stripe on a Jackass: The Quest for Moral Efficiency as well as numerous journal articles.

He is a graduate of:

- The U.S. Naval Academy (BS), where he served as a member of the faculty.

- Harvard University (MPA).

- The University of California, Berkeley (MA, Ph.D.) where his work was nominated for the Leonard White Best Dissertation of the Year by the faculty.

He retired after thirty years of active duty service as a naval officer (pilot) at the rank of Captain.

He is a Distinguished Graduate of the U.S. Naval War College and has served as a professor on the War College faculty while on active duty and since retiring from naval service.
